SAFETY ORGANISATION CHART

BEC strives for excellence in everything it does. Health & Safety are paramount, and considered an essential part of our management process. We intend to continually improve our Safety management systems and expect all of our staff, workers and sub-contractors to participate actively. By following our OHS policy, procedures and guidance, it is possible to meet and even exceed the regulation requirements. BEC's expectations are affirmed in the OHS Policy and Objectives.

 

Corporate Safety Committee

The Corporate Safety Committee is the highest level in promoting Health & Safety, as well as sustaining the valuable workforce of BEC. This committee is responsible for policy and objectives matters, collaborating with project teams on OHS requirements, and shall report directly to the Executive Management.

 

Corporate Safety Department

Provide expert advice regarding safety matters to the Project Management
Develop policies on safety issues and prepare safe work procedures and guides as required
Audit compliance with existing OHS requirements & national standards
Investigate reported accidents and near misses
Liaise with statutory authorities
Conduct safety training programs and consultations on specific safety needs
Guidance on environmental control and monitoring


 

Project Safety Committee

The Project Safety Committee is chaired by either the Project Manager or Construction Manager. This is the foundation of the safety committee formed in every construction project and workshop, which reports to both the Projects Director and Safety Manager.
