Donation Boxes set up in the office to receive goods

Our commitment to social responsibility extends beyond our projects. Each year, we work directly with communities near our project sites to provide practical, hands-on support where it is needed most.

In 2025, Cebu City, Philippines, was hit by an earthquake, followed by a typhoon. These events caused significant hardship for many families, disrupting livelihoods and daily life. Drawing on our local network in the Philippines, BEC organised a donation drive to support affected communities.

Our teams in Singapore came together to donate clothes, shoes, and household items. These were carefully sorted, packed, and shipped to Cebu, where our Philippines colleagues will distribute them directly to barangays hardest hit.

This direct approach ensures support reaches those who need it most while strengthening the long-term relationships we have built with local communities.

As our founders have often shared, working across developing countries means witnessing challenges firsthand. When those realities are visible, even small acts of support can make a meaningful difference.

This initiative reflects the “S” in ESG at BEC. A people-first approach grounded in care, presence, and responsibility.
