At BEC, safety extends far beyond our project sites. It is embedded in every aspect of our operations and reinforced through regular training that ensures our people are prepared to respond confidently in the event of an emergency.

As part of our Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) programme, employees recently participated in a workplace fire drill and emergency response exercise. The session provided practical training on evacuation procedures, designated assembly points, emergency communication, and the correct use of portable fire extinguishers.

While fire incidents are rare, preparedness is essential. Regular emergency exercises help ensure that every employee understands their role, remains calm under pressure, and can respond quickly should an emergency arise.

Investing in People

Creating a strong safety culture requires continuous engagement, practical learning, and shared accountability across the organisation.

By conducting regular emergency drills, BEC helps employees:

  • Understand emergency response procedures
  • Become familiar with evacuation routes and assembly points
  • Build confidence in the use of emergency equipment
  • Improve communication and coordination during emergency situations
  • Strengthen overall workplace resilience

Supporting Our ESG Commitments

Employee health, safety and well-being remain central to BEC’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy.

Regular emergency preparedness exercises support our commitment to providing a safe and healthy workplace while fostering a culture where every individual takes ownership of safety.

As our business continues to grow across Asia, we remain committed to ensuring that the same high standards of safety, preparedness and operational excellence are reflected throughout every part of our organisation.
