Earlier this month, four passionate BEC staff members proudly participated in Huttons’ Sustainability Walk, supporting the OneMillionTrees movement under the @National Parks Board (NParks) of Singapore. This event is part of a nationwide effort to plant a million more trees across Singapore to enhance our green spaces and contribute to the country’s net-zero emissions goal by 2050.

Our Commitment to a Greener Future

By participating in this event, BEC showcases its commitment to sustainability and supports the efforts of Huttons. The monies raised from this walk go directly to the Garden City Fund, a registered Charity and Institution of Public Character established by NParks. Since August 2022, Huttons has raised over $40,000 for this cause, and we’re proud to have contributed to this remarkable effort.

The construction and engineering industry plays a pivotal role in shaping our environment, and it’s crucial that we integrate sustainable practices into every aspect of our work. By supporting initiatives like the #OneMillionTrees movement, we contribute to a greener Singapore and set a standard for sustainable practices within our industry.

We are proud of our team members who took part in the walk, embodying the spirit of BEC’s commitment to sustainability and community engagement: Winco Ho, Lyka Yambao, Adelfa Mae Abregana, Hui Ying Chan

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Huttons for organising such a meaningful event. Together, we can help achieve a greener, more sustainable future for Singapore and beyond.
