Outstanding Safety Commitment at Taiheiyo Cement Project

BEC receives safety recognition at Taiheiyo Cement project

Balanced Engineering & Construction (BEC) has been formally recognised by Shimizu Philippine Contractors, Inc. for its outstanding contribution to safety at the Taiheiyo Cement Philippines Luzon Terminal project.

The recognition underscores our strong safety culture, which prioritises proactive participation, teamwork, and vigilance to ensure that every team member returns home safely each day.

Two BEC team members, Antonio Peral and Maurice Dan Garcia, were also honoured individually for their creative contributions to promoting site safety. Both placed in the top 10 of the FY2025 Safety Slogan Contest, with Maurice’s winning words serving as a creative and memorable reminder of why safety comes first:

Stay alert, avoid the hurt — safety’s a win, from start to fin. One small slip can cost a trip, so gear up and begin!

By participating in initiatives like these, BEC team members actively contribute to building a safer workplace, fostering a culture of care, and setting higher standards for safety excellence across the industry.

This latest recognition aligns with BEC’s long-standing reputation as a contractor that delivers complex projects with precision, professionalism, and a relentless focus on safety.

Congratulations to the entire team at Taiheiyo Cement Philippines for living the company’s safety-first values every day.
