The new Hsinta Power Combined Cycle Power Plant has reached a major construction milestone with the completion of three 80-meter-high environmental compliance chimney stacks, each adorned with stunning large-scale murals inspired by local bird species and ecosystems.
The project, which is central to Taiwan’s national energy transformation, will deliver 3,900 MW of electricity across three state-of-the-art units (1,300 MW per unit), strengthening energy security while significantly reducing carbon emissions.
Where Engineering Meets Environmental Harmony
The design of the chimney stacks is not only functional, meeting strict emissions standards, but also symbolic. Each stack has been painted to reflect the biodiversity of the surrounding wetlands, featuring native birds such as cranes, herons, and ducks in flight. The artwork aims to raise environmental awareness and honour the nearby ecological conservation zones.
A Model for Future Power Projects
The Hsinta Combined Cycle Power Plant sets a new benchmark for industrial design and environmental integration. From cutting-edge engineering to visual impact, the project showcases how energy infrastructure can be both powerful and thoughtful.
