The Integrated Waste Management Facility (IWMF) project in Singapore has entered a critical new stage, with fireproofing work now underway. This marks a significant milestone in the construction of one of Asia’s most ambitious sustainable infrastructure projects.
Recent on-site developments include the successful erection of drop-on platforms with a winching system, and the installation of temporary scaffold tentage and shelter to support safe and efficient fireproofing work on floor I-beams.
These structural preparations ensure safe accessibility and high precision, key priorities as the project advances to more complex engineering phases.
At the Batam Fabrication Yard, the floor grating is nearing completion. Welding work on temporary components is underway, and material preparation has begun for ladders, cages, and platforms to follow.
Transforming Singapore’s Waste Management Future
The IWMF will play a pivotal role in Singapore’s circular economy, helping reduce landfill use while maximising resource recovery. This next-generation facility is poised to become a regional benchmark in sustainable waste management and integrated environmental solutions.
When completed, the IWMF will consolidate multiple waste treatment processes into a single, state-of-the-art facility, paving the way for more efficient and eco-friendly waste management in Singapore.
Special recognition goes to our on-site and engineering teams for their dedication to safety, precision, and continuous progress on this landmark initiative.
