Balanced Engineering & Construction (BEC) has officially engaged two trusted specialist subcontractors to support the delivery of the Taiheiyo Cement Silo Project in Calaca, Batangas, which encompasses the construction of two large reinforced concrete silos with twin inverted cones. The build includes custom formwork, prestressed concrete, and the use of advanced slipforming technology.
The project scope encompasses the design and construction of two reinforced concrete silos, each featuring inverted cones of varying sizes. This design necessitates custom-engineered formwork, carefully sequenced construction phases, and the utilisation of prestressed concrete to ensure long-term structural integrity.
To meet the demands of this challenging build, BEC has partnered with:
- Freyssinet Philippines – bringing world-class expertise in prestressed concrete works, responsible for structural tensioning and reinforcement.
- RMD Kwikform Philippines – providing formwork and falsework solutions for the silo’s unique twin-cone geometry, supporting safe and efficient execution.
Both partners were selected based on their proven track record of delivering technically demanding projects and their ability to work seamlessly with BEC’s engineering and site teams throughout the planning and execution phases.
We are proud to work with leaders in their field who share our values around safety, quality, and engineering excellence.
In parallel, BEC is actively hiring for roles across engineering, supervision, and site teams to support project delivery. Interested applicants are encouraged to visit be-con.com/careers or contact hr@be-con.com for more information.
Stay tuned for future updates as construction progresses on this exciting project.
