BEC Recognises Safety Excellence at Taiheiyo Cement Silo Project in the Philippines
Balanced Engineering & Construction (BEC) has recognised two team members for their positive contribution to safety performance at the Taiheiyo Cement Silo Project in Calaca, Batangas, Philippines. During a recent visit to BEC’s active project sites in the Philippines, Regional Safety Manager Winco Ho presented Safety Recognition Awards to Christopher Nobel and Erwin Denaque in acknowledgement of their commitment to safe work practices and positive safety behaviour on site.
The Taiheiyo Cement Silo Project involves the construction of complex reinforced concrete silo structures, requiring disciplined execution, coordination between multiple work fronts, and consistent attention to safe work practices throughout all phases of construction.
Safety recognition programs form part of BEC’s broader commitment to building a strong safety culture across its regional operations by reinforcing positive behaviours and recognising individuals who demonstrate leadership in day-to-day site safety.
While safety management often focuses on hazard identification, risk control, and continuous improvement, recognising workers who consistently uphold safe work standards is equally important in strengthening site-wide safety culture.
BEC currently has multiple active projects across the Philippines, including the Masinloc Expansion Project and the Taiheiyo Cement Silo Project, with additional works recently awarded in Mariveles, further expanding the company’s presence in the region.
As project activity grows, maintaining consistent safety standards across all operations remains a core priority for BEC.
Congratulations to Christopher Nobel and Erwin Dengue on their recognition, and to the wider project team for their continued focus on safe execution.
