Careers in construction are built project by project, challenge by challenge, and often alongside the people who support us along the way.
This month, BEC recognises Johmy Fabella Falqueza for reaching 10 years with the company.
Originally joining the QA/QC team, Johmy has built a strong reputation for stepping into whatever role is needed to help projects succeed. Over the past decade, he has supported QA/QC activities, site supervision, fabrication management, and project coordination across a wide range of industrial and construction projects throughout the Philippines.
Johmy’s experience reflects the adaptability often required on live industrial projects, where project teams must respond quickly to changing conditions, tight timelines, and evolving scopes of work.

One project Johmy still remembers clearly was the San Buenaventura Power Ltd. (SBPL) Project in Mauban, Quezon. Despite concreting work being outside his original area of expertise, he stepped up to support the operation and successfully helped see the works through to completion during critical concrete slip activities.
More recently on the Taiheiyo Cement Silo Project, Johmy has been supporting not only QA/QC activities, but also fabrication management responsibilities, overseeing both on-site fabrication works and subcontractor activities to help ensure quality, coordination, and delivery expectations are maintained.
Johmy also recalls the intensive maintenance works undertaken at the Petron Flare in 2022, where the scope continuously evolved as inspections uncovered additional repairs requiring immediate action under tight shutdown timelines.
That ability to adapt under pressure is one of the qualities that makes experienced personnel so valuable on industrial and maintenance projects.
When asked what has kept him with BEC for 10 years, Johmy’s answer was simple: the camaraderie, support from the team, and the challenge of working on different types of projects.
Johmy is a great example of the experienced people who quietly help keep projects moving forward behind the scenes.
BEC thanks Johmy for his professionalism, commitment, and contribution over the past decade and looks forward to many more successful years ahead.
