Liner Can Installation Underway on Taichung Unit 1

The Taichung project is already a standout due to its intricate and hexagonal shape. Every phase of the project presents unique challenges that require adaptive solutions and seamless teamwork.

On Unit 1, we’re preparing for the critical installation of liner cans. With the bogies and rails now in place, we’ve implemented a tailored system that allows us to navigate the intricate angles of the structure. This dynamic and adaptable solution enables us to safely and efficiently manoeuvre the heavy liner cans into position—ready for the lift.

Watch as a critical liner can is carefully moved into position. This can is the heaviest of them all, designed to anchor 20 lifting strands and support the entire liner structure, holding over 200 tons in place. Due to its substantial weight, a team of 12 skilled staff was required to manoeuvre it along the bogie rail system, ensuring precision and control throughout the process.

Meanwhile, Unit 2 is reaching new heights! The slipform construction is in full swing, with the height already surpassing 11 metres. It’s thrilling to see the structure take shape, and our team’s dedication and expertise are what keep the momentum going.

We can’t wait to share more as we continue building the future of energy infrastructure!
